Sita's Trial By Fire

Audio book will be released soon.

After Ram and Sita reunited, his compatriots and subjects began to harbour a suspicion that Sita had not been exactly virtuous and may have succumbed to the advances of Ravan. Ram was visibly upset at this development and it may be possible that a hint of doubt flickered in his mind but he cast it aside. Sita was both dismayed and outraged that there should arise even a hint of such distrust and suspicion and declared that she would walk into fire and if she had even experienced a thought of infidelity, the fire would burn and consume her alive. On the other hand, if her heart and mind had remained pure, she would emerge from the flames unscathed and that is exactly what happened. Not even a hair on her head was singed. Ram embraced her and banished all such thoughts from his mind as did for the moment, her doubters.
